ABSTRACT

The loss of a child at any age is devastating. Depression is scary, and if anyone suspects someone is depressed, understanding is more important than anything. For Renae and Curt, who were in their mid-thirties when Darbi died, their lives were forever changed. Renae’s heartrending and heartwarming story about the loss of their baby and her journey to recovery will give hope and comfort to many parents who may have found themselves in similar situations. Renae and Curt are the parents of four children: three sons— Brennan, Koster and Silas—and one daughter, Dacia. Their ages range from 8 to 14. Renae is a teacher, while Curt juggles his duties between farming and being a masonry contractor. Although they will always have a special place in their hearts reserved for memories of Darbi, they are now focusing their love and attention on their four children, who bring them much happiness.
