ABSTRACT

This chapter aims to talk about ways to postpone death. Most people on the planet in good physical and mental health would like to postpone death. Postponing death would not completely eliminate fear of death, but that’s okay because, as has been said, the fear is programmed into our genes and is there to protect us. If death could be postponed—put off to some indefinite point far in the future; if we thought, for example, that we could live, say, for a thousand years barring normal accidents, then we would eliminate the death stress and gratefully step out from under the sword of Damocles. The cycle of life and death will very likely change because of humans. Before humans arrived on this green planet, everything apparently went along in a self-regulating way.
