ABSTRACT
This book is about labor-environmental collective action, seen primarily in a single case study, the Louisiana Labor-Neighbor Project, but situated within a history of labor-environmental initiatives and within a recent social movement landscape of labor and environmentalism. I have traced the development of the Labor-Neighbor Project over its sixteen-year history, as a participant observer and as a student of social movements.
