Despite the deadly association that cancer evokes in most people’s minds, it has been estimated that the number of people who experience a spontaneous remission of their cancer—an inexplicable disappearance of the disease—is about one person in every 100,000 people. They are pretty good odds, I feel. At least they are better odds than winning lotto, and with lotto, it’s only money, right? It’s not your life.
