ABSTRACT
During the three years that my father served in the Air Force, my mother completely immersed herself in her maternal role. She therefore had the time to establish a powerful bond with Steven just as her mother had done twenty years earlier with her own children. However, due to his absence, my father’s bond with Steven was never really established in those formative years.
