ABSTRACT
Sweden is more populated than any other of the four mainland Nordic countries by a ratio of nearly two to one (Table 2.1). Yet with a population of less than ten million people spread over huge distances, in an area larger than Japan or Germany, Sweden is not a country of densely packed urbanization (Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), 2018).
