ABSTRACT

The notes to C. G. Jung’s seminars have finally been published. For a long time they were only available to students at the various Jung Institutes all over the world but now they’ve been edited and published for the general public. One of the most powerful of these documents is The Visions Seminars. The Visions Seminars is based entirely on the visions and drawings produced by Morgan during the course of her analysis with Jung in the 1920s using his technique of active imagination. Jung became enthralled with the amount and quality of visions produced by Morgan. Here was a non-psychotic woman producing a plethora of vividly colored symbolic material who was able to return after each vision to paint and write more. In 1934, Jung held the “Visions” seminar. The veil that the woman involved had purposely drawn was pulled aside and Christiana Morgan revealed.
