ABSTRACT

Our deep dive into the BOWL and LADLE process laid a foundation for effective visual thinking and provided a framework for discovering new ways to teach and learn diverse topics and skills. This chapter continues down that path by providing four grand-slam strategies that have immediate impact in the classroom: Webstorm, Reverse Mind Map, Summary Man, and Constructed Response Magic (which consists of the Puzzle Prompt and the Web Prompt methods). These strategies can be used with virtually any subject matter and targeted to any grade level.
