ABSTRACT

J uan was concerned about a consolidation that included combining two groups of public safety telecommunicators into one agency. The twenty employees working in Agency A would all

lose their jobs and have to reapply to join the thirty-two employees in Agency B.1 Agency B employees would have to endure others coming into their territory and disrupting their happy family. Both Agency A and Agency B employees would have to learn new rules and new ways of working together. From Juan’s perspective and past experience, it wasn’t going to be easy.
