Perhaps you read the previous chapter and were thinking, “Yes! I would love to sit down and think through a comprehensive career plan . . . if I only had the time.” This is a complaint I hear over and over, both from people I work with and from my friends. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a working parent, a stay-at-home parent, or single-the sentiment is the same: there are not enough hours in the day. Think about how many business books focus exclusively on time management. No career strategy, however great it is, will help you succeed unless you make the time to implement it.
