ABSTRACT

In the past four chapters, we’ve looked at how to break down negative and complacent work cultures. Now it’s time to turn our attention to building the company of tomorrow. As we work to create a thoughtful, positive corporate culture and cut away the obstacles to innovation, we must simultaneously help our teams develop the qualities and abilities that will allow them to sustain and prosper in their new, innovationfriendly environment. What types of skills do people working for innovative companies need to succeed? Are there certain skills that translate into career advantages for them and competitive advantages for their companies? Who will teach these skills to your teams if they don’t already possess them?
