ABSTRACT

This chapter outlines how leaders learn to activate Level III trust networks, shifting a whole organization from distrust to trust and transforming a culture. Change is the nature of every successful company’s journey. When the market shifts, successful companies need to be agile; they must be able to get in front of the curve and succeed time and again. Trust is the glue that holds an organization together in the face of enormous challenges. Trust primes the pump so that people can get intimate and feel open enough to be inclusive, interactive, and intentional. Self-aware Level III leaders look inside and explore the dynamics of their own nature and the impact they have on their culture. The power of Level III interaction dynamics comes from their ability to catalyze the higher intelligence located in the prefrontal lobes, a type of intelligence we can only access if we feel good about others and ourselves.
