Conversational Intelligence calls upon awareness from the listener as well as from the speaker—listening awareness must be even greater if the person is a leader. Reframing is a miraculous conversational tool for taking a difficult situation and turning it into an opportunity for finding trust and common ground with someone. Redirecting is another miraculous conversational tool for taking a difficult situation and turning it into an opportunity for finding trust and common ground with someone. Redirecting helps a person move from a place of being stuck and emotionally bound to a place where she can see new opportunities. Visual Dashboards are the next generation of leadership communication tools for building alignment and tracking outcomes. Dashboards create a shared visual and relational framework that enables people to “see” complex relationships in a simple way. Dashboards can be invisible or visible, and both can be used to gauge the health of an organization’s conversations and improve them by applying Conversational Intelligence.
