ABSTRACT

So far in this chapter, we have focused alot on language as a potential bridge over that long-held divide between the business and IT. And, as an English major and journalist, I clearly have a bias when it comes to language as a powerful creator of change. But the divide between IT and the rest of the business is, in some companies, so ingrained that changing the language will not be enough. There is much more to do. One clear place to focus is your team, particularly those people who sit at the connection points between your organization and your peers.
