ABSTRACT

For parents of an adult child who died, with no young children at home to care for, the temptation to lie abed, to neglect to wash and dress oneself, can be very great. The reverse side of the same coin would lead one to assume that a return to normal activities should be easier for the older parent: no one at home to care for; and no dramatic changes in the household routine, the arrangement of bedroom, playroom, etc.
