ABSTRACT
Someone we know sees us across the street or in the supermarket. A cheery greeting rings in our ears: "Happy (fill in the appropriate words) "Birthday," "New Year," "Easter," "Passover," "Mother's Day," "Father's Day," "Thanksgiving," or "Merry Christmas." Each of these greetings can be heard annually.
