ABSTRACT
When a child dies, a parent experiences not only a dreadful emptiness and sadness but in addition, a whole reordering of his or her ideas about life takes place. This reordering often comes in the form of disillusionment. Almost every chapter in this book involves some aspect of the loss of illusions, a complication which bereaved parents have to deal with in addition to their grief.
