ABSTRACT

This chapter explores qualitative research student's design in an even deeper manner and connect his/her design to the tenets of the theoretical perspective(s). If he/she are unable to answer some of the prompts, do not be hard on themself. The process of qualitative research is iterative, so linear progression is not always necessary. the choice is strengthened when the student can demonstrate an alignment between the epistemology, theoretical perspective(s), research purpose and questions, research design, data analysis, and data representation. Ethnographic description is a description of a culture that the researcher has studied. Poetic re-presentation rely on creating poems based on the researcher’s experience of data collection and analysis. Usually ethnodramatic representations are written in the format of a play with dialogues, scene settings, and actions of the actors, as the researcher deems necessary.
