ABSTRACT

Data: Table 1 provides the scores on rates of condom use for AIDS prevention for two groups of male subjects: (a) the eleven who had the highest scores on the future time orientation measure, with scores from 32 to 36, and (b) the ten who had the lowest scores on the future time orientation measure, with scores from 15 to 24. (Note that this is approximately 50% of the sample of men who had at least one sexual partner and for whom complete data were available. The remainder of the sample had scores from 25 to 31.)

Calculations: To use the formulas presented in Exercises 23 and 24, you will first need to calculate the means and standard deviations. You may find that your textbook provides a formula that allows you to compute the value oft directly from the raw scores.
