Spiritual Issues in Death and Dying for Those Who Do Not Have Conventional Religious Belief

What kind of people are we talking about here? We are not thinking simply of people who are unaffiliated with any religious community although they may hold personally to a very traditional belief system (Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Islamic, etc.). This chapter is focused on people who might be described as secularists, humanists, or naturalists (as distinguished from supernaturalists). To simplify matters in this chapter we shall call these persons secularists.
