ABSTRACT
There are problems facing spiritual care in hospice that are associated with ethnic differences. Modern hospice care began in a white, Anglo-Saxon, Christian community in Great Britain. We now live and practice hospice care in a multi-cultural, pluralistic society. We try to care for people from different ethnic and religious backgrounds and we, the people who provide care, come from differing beliefs and have different spiritual concepts.
