The grief-stricken ordinarily find it very difficult to speak their needs clearly. They have not only pain; they simply are an empty ache, and it can seem like nothing can help. As they cry out for security and look for comfort in a God who can bring life out of death, questions arise: "Why did God allow it?"; ''What did I do to deserve this?"; "Is God punishing me?"; "How can a loving God allow such a senseless death?"; "How will I go on: I'm not sure any more there is a God or a heaven"; or ''Why can't the Church help me?"
