ABSTRACT
More than ever, in the context of a society struggling with attempts to assert an anti-European, anti-immigrant culture as the basis of ‘Britishness’, the themes of this chapter matter. There is a re-emergence of Black feminist/ womanist activism in the UK, and it is on the themes highlighted by such networks and writers that this chapter draws.
