InChapter4,ourfocusinexaminingtheprocessofworkinginsocialcarehas beenonthethreemajorparticipantsatanyonepointintime.Inthischapter, wewillchangethefocusintwoways:wewillfollowtheprocessthrough time,andwewillwidenthescopetoincludemorethanthosethreebasicparticipants.Thechronologicalsequencewewillexploreisthatoftheindividual worktaskfromstarttofinish.Theadditionalparticipantsincludethemultiagencycontextwithinwhichmuchworkoccursandtheconsiderablenetworkoffriends,relatives,neighboursanddifferentcommunitieswhich surroundthereferredserviceuser.
