ABSTRACT
In Chapter 7 a link was made between domestic commercial practices and local demand for the ‘rule of law’. The selective support shown by domestic entrepreneurs towards the Enterprise Law (EL) suggested that some imported rights and processes were more relevant to local conditions than others. This chapter explores in more depth the capacity and willingness for domestic entrepreneurs to learn from imported rights-based laws.
