ABSTRACT

The approach to ethics represented in this essay is indebted to Thomas Aquinas, to Catholic moral traditions, and to feminist theology. Its fundamental method will be Thomistic in the general sense of venturing objective, potentially universalizable moral claims on the basis of practical experiences of human goods and needs. It will be Catholic specifically on sexual morality by affirming the unity of sexual expression, interpersonal commitment, and responsibility for children (i.e., sex, love, and procreation).
