ABSTRACT
Mullet & Tenpounders. There was one Echeneis Neucmtes1 or Indian Sucking Fish, which is very well represented in Seba. The under Snout ends in a point & is longer than the upper Jaw, a black band runs along the sides & has a whitish Edge, growing darker of an Iron colour towards the back: it has 24 carvings for Sucking on its head & the pectoral Fins are pointed, which character sufficiently distinguish this fish from the common Sucking-Fish.
