ABSTRACT
This volume reveals that the comparative analysis of regionalism in Africa can generate crucial insights into the dynamics of regional processes, thereby strengthening analysis as well as praxis in practical and policy-making terms. Our emphasis on the complexity and multi-dimensionality of regionalism in Africa contrasts with much of the current research in the field whereby regionalism is treated in a rather superficial manner.
