ABSTRACT

Identity is an economical management resource, because it operates mainly through the activities which an organisation conducts on a regular basis; for the most part identity involves very little new or additional expenditure. Buildings have to be paint­ ed, signs have to be put up, vehicles have to be acquired and put into an appropriate livery, brands have to be launched, training has to take place, and so on. All this is co-ordinated by the identity programme.
