The loka vaa shows complications in the generations following Pru, where it has many fewer generations than the prose. in the prose vaa, there are complications in the generations preceding ilina. Figure 9.1 compacts the prose vaa: the principal features of the compacted segment are four named fathersin-law (dadvat, ktavrya, Prasenajit, and Pthuravas)1 and the detail that ayutanyin (Pthuravas’s son-in-law) performed human sacrifices (puruamedhas, 1.90:19).
