ABSTRACT
The loka vaa shows complications in the generations following Pru, where it has many fewer generations than the prose. in the prose vaa, there are complications in the generations preceding ilina. Figure 9.1 compacts the prose vaa: the principal features of the compacted segment are four named fathersin-law (dadvat, ktavrya, Prasenajit, and Pthuravas)1 and the detail that ayutanyin (Pthuravas’s son-in-law) performed human sacrifices (puruamedhas, 1.90:19).
