ABSTRACT
Examinations (and tests) are the traditional way of assessing students in higher education (HE). Your degree or award result may be totally or partly dependent on exams, or you may not have them at all. You may have long or short exams or ‘phase tests’ (i.e. tests of your knowledge at points in the course where the purpose is to identify how well you’re doing).
