ABSTRACT
43 Dieppe Wednesday 5 August 1846 Sailed from Brighton a little after 11 o’clock am in the Magnet Steamer for Dieppe, which place we reached about 7 pm of the same day. The weather was calm, but from my stomach having been somewhat out of order, I had a very uncomfortable passage, & did not feel quite myself the next day. Put up at the Hôtel Royal, which was full, & consequently uncomfortable.
