ABSTRACT
The acquisition and support of projects can vary in subtle or significant ways. Everybody in the supply chain is a potential customer and supplier. The way in which a system, sub-systems, assemblies or equipment are obtained can be modelled by a Cost Engineer and the disadvantages and advantages assessed. In this chapter we will consider how different strategies can be modelled and what to look for.
