ABSTRACT
Arctic, or Polar regions, are, as their names suggest, found at the North and South Poles. Generally, Polar regions are considered to be any area of land that is further north, or further south, than 60 degrees 33 minutes. It is in these regions that a knowledge of Arctic survival becomes essential although it must be realised that at very high altitudes anywhere in the world, these skills could also be a life saver.
