ABSTRACT
Survival is not easy but it is possible. As can be seen, there are many elements that add together to provide success in survival situations and almost all of these involve the crew.
Certainly, as far as aircrew are concerned, survival is not an area that can be left to chance. Prior knowledge, and, if at all possible, experience of practical survival situations within a training environment, are the very least that every crew member should be equipped with to be able to cope should such an incident happen to them.
