ABSTRACT

Creating efficient and speedy traffic movement and reducing acrimony over parking spaces for fellow employees is potentially one of the best public relations exercises that security officers can undertake. Motorists are sensitive about their driving and their manoeuvring ability, and about the parking privileges afforded to them by the company. Complaints about parking and vehicle matters should be taken seriously, no matter how trivial they appear at first sight. Responding to complaints may result in an improvement to the existing traffic movement system. If nothing can be done about the matter, or if the complaint is based on a wrong premise, the complainant should be so informed.
