ABSTRACT
Inthelastchapter,itwasshownthatthetrajectoryofeconomicdevelopment intheadvancedeconomiesisnotnecessarilyandinevitablytowardsthe hegemonyofmarketrelationssofarastheprovisionofgoodsandservicesare concerned.Rather,self-helppersistsintheadvancedeconomies.Indeed,if anytrendistakingplace,itisthatself-helpisincreasingrelativeto employment,atleastintermsofthetimespentonsuchactivity.
