ABSTRACT

At the end of the previous chapter, I suggested that there is a direct link between the phenomenon of friendly fire in contemporary philosophy of religion and its epistemological preoccupations. These preoccupations occur, philosophically, within Descartes’ notion of consciousness. This claim, on my part, has far-reaching consequences. I want to look at some of them in this chapter.
