ABSTRACT

Of course, each question that we consider is likely to impinge upon the three areas which have been alluded to; no theological question is likely to be discrete in its implications or assumptions, unless it is defined so to be, or treated as a question of another kind, e.g,. historical, legal or sociological. The key affirmation which is confirmed by the readings in this section is that there are essential theological questions which involve all members of the community of faith, and which are not merely to be considered the province of those ‘in authority’.
