ABSTRACT
We have found that during the last six years of running fun and families groups, and more recently living with teenagers groups, the need for parent support groups have become more and more obvious, and we have listed below some of the reasons for this:
• Parents who have attended a living with teenagers group often feel quite bereft when the short seven-week course comes to an end. The support and friendship enjoyed becomes important to them. So, although a few parents need further advice and support from us, many benefit from just getting out regularly, keeping company with other people who have common interests, and taking some time for themselves away from the children.
