ABSTRACT

In terms of the whole pantechnicon of implementation, testing individuals’ knowledge and understanding and having the will to rehearse the process is the area requiring the greatest courage from a project-leader. The only solution is to test knowledge: by involving everyone in a rehearsal game, conducted as realistically as time permits. During this rehearsal, the plan and detail can be tested with the participation of the team, deliberately imagining themselves at various stages of the implementation. Rehearsal is a form of deep play. The problem with rehearsal is the way it tends to be approached with closed eyes. One of the commonplaces of observing the rehearsal of projects using models to walk through the process, is that the mistake made in rehearsal always appears again in the implementation.
