Notes I. The designation of spatial development planning which mirrors a functional principle
of integration (i.e. the node-linkage model) came only slowly into general use. The older language of regional planning was preferred because it recalled, however fleetingly, the familiar notion of a territorial space. lts continued use during the transition eased the pain of loss.
