ABSTRACT

The internal performance required to obtain the customer strategies starts to become clear. First, CROmed must define and provide ideal service in each project. Second, they must meet all regulatory standards. This becomes especially important as they move into new therapeutic areas. Third, they must identify and fix all of the delivery issues that are causing them trouble in their new projects. Finally, CROmed must institute a system of continuous process improvement in order to increase quality. The overall VirtuPharm goal would be something like ‘growing the company despite the threat of an Food & Drug Administration (FDA)-mandated withdrawal’, and the pharma–Contract research organizations (CRO) partnerships goal shown would actually be an internal operations strategy on that larger map. To achieve the pharma–CRO partnership goal, VirtuPharm realized that it would have to have more cost-effective operations, which would require a more efficient and cost-effective CRO.
