ABSTRACT
Finding aids should use consistent conventions and follow national authorities wherever applicable. In any case standards should always be followed where the data is designed to provide access points to the archives (for example in providing name authority access using NCA Rules), but conventions within the text of a finding aid which are not designed to provide such access should nevertheless be consistent. The data listed here has been based, where appropriate, on PRO practice and on AACR2.
