ABSTRACT
The outcome of the Project Planning Chain is the awarding of contracts. It is at this phase that the Project Delivery Chain begins. The importance of meeting all project commitments on time, within budget and at acceptable quality standards is reflected in the governance and management of the project delivery chain. This is ensured by the three building blocks of the project planning chain (see Figure 2.1), viz:
1. Supply management 2. Building and installation 3. Handover and closure.
