Althoughacentrallanddrainisprovidedinthetrack,additionalcatchwater drainsmaybeneededatoneorbothsidesofthetrackifthegroundisliableto becomewaterlogged.Atypicalridingtrackforall-weatheruseisshowninFigure 4.1andshouldbeconstructedof:
•trackbed3000mmwidex300mmdeep,sub-stratetreatedwithtotal herbicide,Unedwithgeotextilefiltermembrane;
•centraldraintrench300mmwideX600mmdeep,linedwithgeotextile; •lOOmmclaywareagriculturaldrain,backfilledwithgravelwasteorhard
granularmaterial,dischargingintosoakawayorwatercourse; •trackbackfilledwithlOOmmof50mmaggregate,coveredwithgeotextile; •trackfilledtogroundlevelwith200mmcoarsebarkorwoodchips.
