While obeying God’s laws in one’s personal life and espousing sound doctrine are highly important to Jehovah’s Witnesses, religions are communities, and hence require appropriate organisational structures. e structures of the Watch Tower organisation are dictated by three prime considerations. As a restorationist movement, it is important that Jehovah’s organisation implements the practices of the early Church. As a pre-millennial organisation, it has the task of paving the way for the governmental structure of the coming new world, which Jehovah will rule. At a practical level, there is the need to ensure the ecient running of the Society, so that it can engage in its preaching and teaching work.
