ABSTRACT
In his book on manners, Asserate Asfa-Wossen1 describes how much he dislikes badges being worn at events. He is convinced that he has had the best conversations with people who tried to avoid wearing badges – just like himself – and to whom he had to formally introduce himself. According to him, badges are a distraction. You focus more on trying to read a person’s badge than on the person himself.
