Safetyinnuclearpowerplants(NPP)isaparamountissue,sinceaccidentsinNPP havethepotentialtocausetremendousdamagetopeopleandthings.Although manyautomatedoperationtechnologieshavebeenintroduced,NPPsafetystill dependsonhumans.20-70percentofallsystemfailuresinNPP,including Three-MileIslandorChemobyl,arecausedbyhumanerror(Fleishmanand Buffardi,1999).
