Thereisasmallglassbeakerondisplay(showninFigure3.1)attheBritish Museum.Standingonly5inchestall,ithasaslightlyoutsplayedrimandthin walls,aboutamillimetrethick,thattapertotheprominentlyindentedbase.The beakerismadeofarelativelycolourlessyetbubblyglass.Mostnoticeable, however,aretheenamelswhichdecoratetheglass.Blue,black,white,yellow, green,andredcolourswerepaintedandaffixedtoboththeinsideandoutside walls.Thesecreateafloralpatternsurroundingheraldicshields,displayingsuch armorialdevicesaskeysandstaghorns.Abovetheheraldicfiguresisaborder createdbylinesofyellowandredglassthatencircletherim.Withinthisborder thereisanenamelledLatininscriptioninopaquewhiteglassthatreads MAGISTERALDREVANDINMEFECI-"MasterAldrevandinMadeMe."
